Description
This drawing illustrates my relationship with my little sister. We're a few years apart, and sometimes that gap feels huge - we argue, misunderstand each other, or simply live in different worlds. But we've both once been kids and used paper cup telephones, and we both keep trying to make the other 'hear'.
The intertwined string represents our connection, which may be messy and tangled, but is never broken. Even when communication feels impossible, we both keep holding the cups, trying again. This piece is about that effort and the quiet, everyday act of reaching across distance to connect, no matter how many knots are in the string.
